CARON
WOLFENDEN

Caron is a qualified, registered interpreter with the NRCPD and a full member of ASLI.  Having interpreted for over twenty five years, Caron has a wealth of experience in a range of settings working with both Deaf professionals and grass roots community.  Her specialisms are in mental health, police, child protection, financial matters and conferences, and more recently in video relay services.

Caron also has qualifications and experience in the training and assessing of interpreters and translators (both Deaf and hearing), mentoring, supervision and continues to play an active role within professional associations at both a national and international level.  Caron was originally drawn to sign language by meeting Deaf people at a young age and then developed a strong sense of social justice and equality - these can only be achieved by allying with the Deaf community.

Caron is based in mid Devon and happy to travel and work online. She is always happy to respond to queries and offer advice/signposting as appropriate.
