I JUST NEED AN INTERPRETER, I DON'T MIND WHO IT IS. WHAT DO I DO?
If you're looking to get an interpreter for a general, non-specialised appointment then please fill in the form to Contact All of Us and someone will get back to you directly.
QUALIFIED OR TRAINEE INTERPRETER?
By clicking on the photo of each interpreter you'll be able to read more information about each one. Send them a direct email if you need any further discussions about their skills and experience.
Those of us who are qualified are registered with the NRCPD, which means we all have current DBS check certificates, have Professional Indemnity Insurance, are subject to an official complaints procedure and undertake Continuous Professional Development.
Those who are Trainees are also Regulated by the NRCPD, these interpreters have also voluntarilly signed up to these same regulations.
HOW DO I COMPLAIN IF I'M NOT HAPPY WITH THE SERVICE RECEIVED?
We doubt that you'll have reason to complain about the service you receive from any of us that advertise on West Country Interpreters, but if you aren't happy, please do discuss your issues with the interpreter directly in the first instance. It may be a simple misunderstanding of our role or function.
If that doesn't resolve the issue, please go to the NRCPD website and Raise a Concern about the practitioner. The NRCPD will take it from there.
HOW DO I ADVERTISE ON THIS SITE?
You will need to be registered or regulated by the NRCPD and have three references from interpreters already on this site. Send these along with a photo and brief biography to David Wolfenden at
David will confirm the advertising fee and quarterly charges that apply. Once you have paid your fee your details will be uploaded to the site.
IS EVERYONE ON THIS SITE A REGISTERED INTERPRETER?
Everyone who advertises on this site has their registration status verified each quarter.
If you would like to confirm someone's registration status, please search for their name here: https://www.nrcpd.org.uk/registration
