Carleen began working with the Deaf community as an Educational Communication Support Worker in 1994, and in addition to being a fully qualified British Sign Language Interpreter, has qualifications in Sign Supported English (SSE), note-taking, and hands-on signing and guiding for deafblind people.

She qualified via the Post-graduate Diploma in BSL/English interpreting route in 2000, and has worked as a Freelance Interpreter ever since.

Carleen also has a Post-graduate Certificate in Education, having been employed as a Teacher with Deaf children from pre-school to post 16.

She is registered with NRCPD, a member of Visual Language Professionals (VLP), and the National Union of British Sign Language Interpreters (NUBSLI).

Based in Cornwall, and available weekdays, weekends and evenings.
